Have I got the following right? BEACON letters underlined are separate letters, being the main members of their own respective individual hierarchies, but underlining is still used to designate "priority" within other, non-BEACON, families? Thanks.
Yes, you understand the concept correctly. In the details, it is EACON (or CANOE or OCEAN if you prefer) plus GYM and DJIQ that have underlined families. That is, 12 letters do and the rest don't. All will be spelled out in the tutorial update.
Let's look at an example:
With Blue's double 2s, many plays are composed of one, two or three deuces on the far side and the remainder within the inner board. If all such plays were in one big E family, then all four 2:2 plays would be considered in the hierarchy first before getting to the 3:1's (the best plays). Instead, by having created a distinct 3:1 ratio family, E, it is not necessary to first tediously count how many 2:2 plays there are. You can see right away that = 24/20*/18 6/4 is E , 24/20* 24/22 6/4 is e. They are neatly partitioned.
