No brainer: go for the touchdown and try to win the game NOW. If you score the touchdown the game is effectively over. If you don't make it, you leave Pittsburgh 95 yards away, instead of an average of 72 yards away (my WAG), and you don't have to suffer the risk of a big kickoff return. Kicking the field goal gives Pittsburgh MUCH better field position to drive for the winning touchdown. Remember: after EITHER decision Pittsburgh still has to score a touchdown to win in regulation, and can only tie with a drive that leads to a successful field goal. Risking a possible tie but throwing away your chance to close out the game is a bad trade-off.

I'd be shocked if Zeus says it is right to go for the field goal.
