If you don't hit you can expect to be ahead a bit more than 20% of your pip count of 67 after opp rolls his average 8 and a fraction. Taking that into account plus your opp's crossovers and checkers on lower points, by not hitting, you should win the game somewhere in the upper 80's % range.

I don't hit since it is 4 shots and I could still be hit later and on a sad day will lose a G after being hit back immediately with 43.

5/3 and then 5/4 looks fastest to me. .. neilkaz ..
