You're welcome, but I'm not sure we really answered your question.

The reason why your play is inferior is that it increases your wastage. To obtain the most efficient bear-off you should try to keep your checkers on the higher points and avoid moving them to lower points. By playing off the six and moving to the one you violate this dictum twice.
