FWIW, I considered hitting. The problem is that it gives up the 8-point, and that the follow up after an entering 2 is difficult. I think hitting on the ace is reasonable, though.

In any case, I think I got this problem wrong. It is mostly a containment problem, so we should use the 55 to cover the outfield and concentrate on making the bar. The 15 against 1 strategy is often very strong.
