I had some of the same thoughts as Nack: get rid of the center column, minimize verbiage, and put playername, score and pip data above and below the board. Despite the inconsistency with minimizing verbiage, I've added "trails" and "leads." I also liked, in Nack's suggestion, the repetition of the score, from each player's perspective.
I've moved the position ID to the fine print section at the bottom of the display.
I've dispensed with "X to play 2-1," despite the confusion of some of us in the past figuring out who's on roll. The dice are on the board, and on the right hand side, so it's a play decision, and it's the turn of the player at the bottom. I think past confusion was due almost entirely to the dice/checker color scheme. But if the play were a cube decision, would we need to indicate whose decision it was? I think not, because there's another clue to that: the numbering of the points are always from the perspective of the player on roll -- if you note which point is labeled "1", you know which player is on roll.
If the position were not from a match, I'm thinking "money session, Jacoby" or some such could be where "MET: Rockwell-Kazaross" is in this display.
