narrow the candidate list

I'm not playing b/20 5/2. That narrows the candidate list a little bit :)
Two thoughts occur to me here - Magriel safe/bold and game plan.
Magriel:
Blue has (slightly) better board, more men back and is behind in the race. A bold play is called for.Game plan:
Race, prime or attack?
Blue is a long way down in the pip count, so racing doesn't look promising. He has the makings of a prime, but four men back makes building the prime difficult. 10 men in the zone, and little problem escaping the back men - attacking seems to be the way to go.The only attacking moves I see here involve hitting, which is consistent with the bold approach indicated by the Magriel criteria. There is also the adage "when in doubt, hit", and that usually serves me well. So I'm choosing between b/22 8/3* and b/20 6/3*. Leaving eight blots around the board is a bit scary, but I like going after the 5pt anchor in the middle of opp's burgeoning prime as a backup in case our attack fails.
b/20 6/3*
