Thanks for the ^15 rollout, Claude. Here is data for opening 54 at save:

    s[S R17 D45] /36*5
    s[S=R] ^15

Key: S = Split (24/20 13/8), R = Run (24/15), D = Down (13/9 13/8). Before brackets, s = save. After brackets is a bot symbol ( / GnuBG, ^ XG 4-ply) and the number of trials in thousands, rounded down (an asterisk repeats a number).

For example, "s[S R17 D45] /36*5" means that at (gammon) save, S is best and R is -.017 in a GnuBG rollout of 36000+ trials, and D is -.045 after 5000+ trials.

There is quite a difference in the S/R margin here between the GnuBG result and the XG 4-ply result. Is this difference attributable to bot play or is it possibly to variance? The XG 3-ply result may shed some light; once it is sent to me I'll post it.

Nack
