Race hugely favors you. If you're able to escape you've clearly lost your market. Contact favors you. Since you're so far ahead in the race if you don't escape your opponent is forced to hit you likely leaving a shot due to his blot on the deuce point. With the strength of your board when you hit you'll win some gammons. That's basically it, mostly it is just the race + possible market loss.
