I think it is fascinating how some people can reconstruct games from diagrams.

I find it even more fascinating how some people can reconstruct whole games from memory, remembering every roll and how they were played. (the stories I have heard about PJT when it comes to reconstructing games are amazing).

I am sure most people in here can reconstruct whole games and short matches from memory. Personally, I struggle to remember the previous roll (maybe because I don't really think about what's going on - I just kind of push my checkers around the board).
