The only way to be sure someone looking up the position later will be able to find it is to create headers for all eight sequences

That's not true. That's true for the way you search through messages by showing all messages from the sites inception and then using the find function, ctrl + f, to search through posts.

If you use the Search option at the top from the forums main page and you insert any of the strings you listed within' the message body itself the post will be found.
