It was the chessplayer Nimzowitch, who told: "Overprotect your strong points". Because the bar is overprotected, some player have the fear to go on such a point. If a point is overprotected, it is likely that an attacker of this point will loose the battle for it. If you have overprotected points, they are almost "made" points. But in the left, it is like in go, you will surrender something, to impede a better position otherwise.
