Looks to me like Chuck is correct. White's position is fragile and could collapse if the back checker does not escape, and the score call for aggressive doubles when there are some gammon threats. I think from here, about 25% of Blue's wins should be gammons, and Blue is a favorite to win this position. White has an equal number of home board points and a significant race in the lead, so double and take looks right.

Blue's strategy should be to extend/improve the prime, and let White play its numbers. Time works for Blue. No need to hit until there are additional checkers to be picked up.
