In your left-hand position, I expect everyone will answer P (Point, 8/2* 6/2). Humans typically underestimate the relative value of making an advanced anchor, so if P is already the best play here (as it appears to be), then to most people (well, that is if it came up OTB instead of being from one of your posts), P is going to look like a slam-dunk instead of a close decision.

I offer the variant on the right, which differs by just one pip and has three choices of play (P, @ and H). Now what? Am I trying to confuse you? Would I even if I could?

As a bonus, below is a third roll position to ponder.
