It would have to depend on how flinchy my opponent has been with the cube. I'd like to win 4 points out of this, and if Black's cube style has indicated a greater inclination toward taking a few rolls after the anchor play as opposed to immediately after blitz/fan (although I doubt it's even close to correct for Black to drop in that instance) then anchoring would have to be my choice. Black has almost as many rolls that make the 21pt if White blitzes anyway (14 vs 13, by my quick count) and wrapping up Black's bar point gives White some welcome holding game insurance, seeing as how an immediate blitz will likely stall without any extra ammo in the zone. 24/18 22/18 also has the advantage of leaving no loose strings for a tempo upending during any subsequent onslaught.
Playing Devil's Advocate for the human factor, I suppose. But yes: 8/2* 6/2 must be the best play, especially against a bot. However it's probably closer than one might think.
