It's not just a question of a permanent disappearance of the site:

1. One site may be temporarily down; it's annoying that this should affect what's happening on another site.

2. The site may still exist but the URL may change. Recently, even the local images here on BGOnline experienced that problem, and despite the strong motivation to fix things quickly, it took quite a while to figure out how to fix it. When something like this happens with a remote site, it's generally even more troublesome to fix it.

3. Some firewalls may block/filter one site but not the other.

If Stick sees the logic of this argument, then I hope he will also update the BGOnline tutorial about how to post images from XG accordingly.
