Yeah, Z was my first inclination. My original “coming under the gun” remark was merely meant to communicate that it was not necessary to split into 3 builders _in this particular exchange_, given that the option of a minor split was available. By now I know that the extended rollouts prefer W—I'm satisfied with the reasons why and certainly I welcome the option to my repertoire—but I'm glad that my erstwhile instincts were, effectively, equally correct.

It seems reasonable to play W at GG, U at GS, and perhaps Z at tender match scores, such as 4A-4A. For money I suppose it all depends on your opponent. What do you think?
