Favorable Review of Rob Maier's Pittsburgh Tournament

While I don't disagree with anyone on your Big Shots list, I am sorry, but you left off several big shots:
Ray Fogerlund is a Giant, wins many tournaments, and has a big mouth, but sure qualifies as a big shot. It is no fluke that he won.
Karen Davis is a big shot. She's on the USBGF Board, she might well be the fastest pip counter in the game since Jack Kissane, and she does much to promote the game of backgammon in a most positive way.
Herb Roman is a big shot. He is probably the best player in the US that has never won anything. (His average PR is well under 5.) It takes a lot of skill and creativity to avoid winning the way Herb has.
Carter Mattig is a big shot. He probably attends more tournaments around the world than anyone else in the game of backgammon (even you, Paul). And Carter does not go unnoticed at any event. (Ask him what he thought of the tournament and I guarantee you he would offer an opinion.)
