So we'd distinguish between moves that involve the incorrect number of pips or that ignore blocked points (so 17 pips moved, or jumping a 6 prime) on the one hand, and on the other hand, moves that would not be possible no matter what the dice roll including number of pips on the dice (placing yourself on the bar, bearing an opponents checker off, moving backward (LOL for those who know their classics), bearing 5 checkers of in one roll, etc)?

I am asking because the difference between what I'll dub 'merely illegal but possible' and 'impossibly illegal' is not so straightforward to me.
