This I got, but I have trouble exploring the impossibilities of various forms of illegality ;-)

For example, is a 44 roll played 24/7 impossible or not? No matter where you put the 29 checkers, no roll can be played 24/7 legally, so impossible? And a 64 roll played 24/13, impossible or not? I guess you could argue that there are rolls that let us play 11 pips, so that this me be less impossible than the 17 pips play.

I guess Rich's intention is that both cases above are considered legal but possible, hence my formulation ('any play that would be possible with with two dices with any figures on the faces with some configuration of the other checkers and that results in a legal position is considered possible' could be a wording).
