Question for anyone who believes that any move that results in a position with 1-30 checkers on the board is an illegal play (please, may any & all respond):
I hit my opponent's checker, and pick up his checker. With the checker still in my hand, I hit the clock (I have seen this done often). Is the checker on the bar? Is it borne off? Is it indeterminable until after my opponent rolls? If so, at what point do we find out where the checker really is?
