Legal plays??

I'm always amazed at how many otherwise terrifically rational people actually think that the current illegal moves rule is fine just the way it is. Is it just because it's the status quo??

Exactly what part of my last post (or any of my posts in this thread) is inaccurate, illogical, or doesn't address the point? Specifics, please.

It has nothing to do with status quo (though 70-80 years of status quo does carry a tiny bit of weight.) It has to do with the inescapable fact of which player is responsible for moving the checkers and cube on his turn (and should bear the responsibility of the result.)
