Only a very weak case.
Your legal play is to hit, which means the checker belongs on the bar. It is not there, it is in your hand. To be borne off, the checker would need to be where you put it when bearing off a checker, but it is not there. So your opp could argue that it is borne off, but there is nothing that points to that - the play cannot cause the checker to be borne off (it was your move, and you cannot bear off your opp's checkers), and the position of the checker is inconsistent with it being borne off.
