Rule 4.8 (but OT nonetheless)

And you are right that it is the responsibility of your opponent to make sure he plays within the rules of the game.

Casper, as usual, I always enjoy your take on things, and of course, when you agree with me.

But I just had a thought. This argument is a LOT like the liberal vs. conservative positions on welfare for the poor. The liberal says "We need to help the poor". The conservative responds "No one is preventing you from doing so."

Nothing in the current rules prevents people that want to play legal plays from doing so. Demanding that the rule be changed is only to force OTHERS to do so.

This is end-of-thread for me. Twelve posts is more than enough and I'll just be repeating myself; I'm quite certain I've said almost everything I would want to say on this topic.

But this particular post contains political claptrap and is therefore OT and feel free to delete it, Stick, if you deem it proper to do so.
