Ah, that makes sense!
This does remind me of something I've wondered about, though. Sometimes that little XG 3-ply icon appears and sometimes it doesn't. I haven't been able to figure out any rhyme or reason to when it appears. If XG decides that the play is so obvious that there's no need to go to 3-ply, then I can see why the icon wouldn't appear, but sometimes several plays will be subjected to 4-ply analysis (using my default settings), and the 3-ply icon will sometimes appear and sometimes it won't. I don't really care that much, but this behavior has puzzled me.
A related observation is that when I choose "XG Roller+" as an opponent, sometimes the bot will make a move other than the one with the highest XGR+ evaluation, because its filtering rules cause it to decide not to bother with an XGR+ evaluation. There is of course no way to prevent this sort of thing categorically, short of forcing every legal play through XGR+, but I'm sort of curious whether this sort of thing has ever happened in the OLM. Certainly in my own matches against "XG Roller+", I have noticed this kind of anomaly occurring once in a while.
