O.K., I'm not sure any more that I actually prefer 6/5* to 2/1*. But just to clarify my comment about "slotting": the primary goal of either play is not to slot, but in the case of 6/5*, the compensation for not getting hit is that you have slotted two points that you want, whereas there is no such compensation for 2/1*. After 2/1*, you're "forced" to hope that they get hit when you want them to be hit, whereas after 6/5* you have the option of remaking the points. (But, of course, the 6pt is much more valuable than the 2pt, so this "non-commitment" might not be enough compensation for breaking the point.)

Anyway, this discussion has persuaded me even more strongly that I prefer 23/22 over either 6/5* or 2/1*.
