KIbitzers should STFU unless asked or appointed as monitor

Suppose the match in question had been played under Chvia's version of LMR. Bill punches his clock, not aware of the error. Ray, for whatever reason, rolls his dice. As Ray rolls, 2 or 3 or more of the many spectators watching the match come alive about the illegal play. Words or gasps whatever. They saw it, they indicated they saw it before the dice were out. The dice now come out and land on whatever.
Forget for a moment what you want Ray, or anyone else in Ray's position to do. Tell me what you want the director to rule when he's called over. As I understand Chiva's rule, the play stands and the dice stand because no participant or staff member intervened before the next roll. If you want the director to do something different, then you need a different rule, right?
If you're fine with the play standing that's definitely fine by me, I just don't want to hear later that I should have applied Rule 1.1 when there is black and white LMR wording to refer to.
If instead what you think should happen is the play should be rewound in some manner, then the LMR wording should not be limited to participants or staff. Which means either directly or obliquely including kibitzers.
Either way is fine, really, I just want what people actually want to happen to be what will happen when the rule is applied, assuming it's in effect.
