I find these difficult so my comments may not be worth much, but I think your post deserves more attention than it's gotten, so here's a crack at them.
1. We have a positional lead and a race lead. Do we have threats? If we enter and hit and Black enters without hitting (a fairly typical exchange) then Black's position is pretty weak, with four checkers back and a front position that is poorly set up for a back game. Not a killer threat, but even if we dance we're not in much trouble. I think I would double here.
2. Here it's clear that a hit and a dance would lose our market by a mile. On the other hand if we dance, then Black's 4's cover and 5's hit, and even if we enter on the 24pt without hitting, we may still have trouble scrambling our last checker home. The score encourages us to be more aggressive with doubling when there are gammon chances, but I would still hold off here.
3. No double for me. We're leading in the match and are behind in the race. If we dance here, it's very bad news.
