In Response To: 1st International Backgammon Championship (Mochy)

Sounds interesting.

Canada does not have any formal federation or organization, however after Dubrovnik's World event last year the idea of Canada having a qualifying event for his event was something I had tossed around to the players who I brought together for the last Team Canada.

I am willing to step forward for Canada to help devise and/or run a fair qualifying event (I'd probably consider Swiss) to determine a Team Canada (that would hopefully satisfy the organizers). If someone else wishes to do it for Canada, fine by me, but it has my support right this moment. If someone else wishes to take the torch for Canada they would have my full support.

No matter what - Consider Canada "Highly interested" at this time.
