Take a longer look at this position and you'll see this as a huge cube and maybe even a pass. Black is basically dead meat if the 5 pt is made anytime soon. If Black can split he is at risk of being attacked when White's board is stronger. If Black can't split or run out he'll soon lose some points he may want to keep. If Black runs out, he's in danger of attack once again.

Probably a pass..but most certainly a very strong and basic cube.
