Marty, in any of those situations you describe, don't you think the tournament director would listen to you, and remove the kibitzers in question?

Actually, it must be easier to ask an official to take care of it, then immediately concentrating on your game again, not having to argue with the kibitzers in question, etc.

On the other hand, the TD would "filter out" the unreasonable requests from a player. The worst I could think of: "I'm getting nervous when people watch my game, please leave everyone" In the final of a big tournament, where maybe 30 people are standing at appropriate distance, looking at the match. Or the other crazy examples mentioned in this thread.
