This would seem to be a tough choice since if we don't hit, we are almost certainly losing a G if we miss whatever shots we get later. However, if we do hit, we are wide open to counterattack on many of the 27 entering rolls and if that counterattack works, we're reduced to a 3 pt game and a near certain G loss.

With this being a bad score to lose a G, I think it is probably better just to cover 10/5.

However, if we hit now and it works out and we contain, we can recube for match more easily vs 3 checkers off than vs more checkers off when we hit later, but inspite of that and the chances we may still recover if we are counter attacked, I think 10/5 seems best as there will very often be more shots.
