Please see below the GNUbg 0-ply rollout. It identified the correct play.

I'm not sure if you're making a point. If you use weaker settings and fewer trials, you're still a favorite for the better play to emerge on top. However, you are not as big a favorite, and the size of the margin will not be as reliable, on average.
