1st International Backgammon Championship

In Response To: 1st International Backgammon Championship (Chuck Bower)

I believe the upcoming (June 2011) LA Open ABT event will have 9-point matches in the Open bracket. That tournament is being run in conjunction with the USBGF Championships (or vice-versa), and it would be particularly unfortunate if its winner / top finishers weren't counted in whatever qualifying/eligibility process the USBGF comes up with to decide its representatives for this international competition.

The parallel LA Open ABT event will not qualify, but the USBGF National Championship event itself will qualify.
