I think Nack meant that with the 5pt, K might be O.K. at gammon go.

I looked briefly at the double hit but it's usually not right to squander a 33 in the early opening with 13/4*/1* when major structural improvements are available. Here, anchoring, unstacking the midpoint, and making the 5pt are all major structural improvements. I would have definitely played 13/10(2) but I was unsure about 24/21(2) versus 8/5(2). After reading what Neil and Nack had to say, I can see that 8/5(2) should be better because our opponent has a vulnerable position so offense should take precedence. If our opponent anchors up then we should still be able to split our back checkers safely next time, so moving them this turn isn't so urgent.

I'm wondering, though, if the decision is much closer at DMP.
