In Response To: New Pip Counting Methods (Peyo)

I discovered your high-five method two days ago and I find it interesting.

One thing that I changed for my use is that I calculate the number of crossovers until all checkers are in homeboard and then add 75 (like in half-crossover method)
So opponent's home board is 3 (not 4), his outer board is 2 (not 3), my outer board is 1 (not 2), and I don't have to count checkers in my homeboard (instead of 1)

I usually used half-crossover method and I think your method is better (at least for me) because when I multiply with 5, numbers finish with 0 or 5 digit; in multiplying with 3, numbers can finish with 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9 (all digits) - when in rush, I think numbers finishing with 0 or 5 are much easier to add to 75 without making some error (75+39=104 instead of 114, etc.)

I will try to use this method in tournament this weekend so if I find something more, I will let you know.
