Things I like about BG

Returning from Chicago after an unpleasant sequence of results, I find that indeed I am still liking backgammon.

So, I thought I should write these down, so that I can remember this when I am not liking BG so much.

1. 0-2 in the main. Not happy, but I still like this game. 2. Watching an error the size of China in a chouette that nearly made Petko's head explode as the play unfolded. 3. Playing a couple of games of Destructo-gammon. The sheer joy of ripping apart an opponents homeboard is perhaps second to none. After Bob Koca had done it to me first. Thanks Bob. I will give that game a try at the club tomorrow night. 4. Chouettes. Its pretty much a laugh a minute stuff. I dont think theres ever as much noise and flapping going on anywhere else at these tournaments. 5. Seeing old friends that I havent seen for a while. It is good to go to tournaments. 6. Well run tournaments. Was executed well, and good fun. Although I do miss the Blitz...
