Interesting thoughts. However, if you were to use the Jacoby Rule in match play as well as money play, I'm not sure it would be "worse"--I simply think the game would be "different." I will have to give this more thought, but it might really be fun to play match play with the Jacoby Rule. Things could get extremely complicated if you have to double to get a gammon but you are at a score where the recube vig is high. Seems to me that the Jacoby Rule would make the game more complex than it is, and for those of us who embrace complexity (I've been married 3 times), that's a good thing.
