LOL, nice anecdote.

I recall playing checkers in Africa, outside in the street, on a board and with checkers that may have been black and white in the far past, but was now just dark all the way. For others, it may have been possible to see the difference between the lighter dark and the darker dark, but for me, no. I can play a few games simultaneously blindfolded, so that is how I coped, the board was actually a bit distracting.
