1. Double and drop. Race, combined with shots and blockage means that this is not takeable. Even if black leaves a shot and it is hit, you don't have an advantage. No thanks.

2. Double and drop. The checker on the ace hurts, and we'd need a stronger blocking game to take this.

3. Make the 5 point. If missed, we have a very strong position which will restrict Black's freedom of movement. If we make the 21, Black can dump behind us and build a position, and the race lead is not huge. Hitting loose does not seem to gain a lot here, as Black has few threats right now, and there are no other blots to pick up.

4. 16/9: Slot the back, so that rolls that escape from the prime work in black's favor (timing).

5. Double and drop. Race, attack, position. Black has a reasonable position in case he hits one or more checkers, but not decisive, and in most cases he won't hit at all.
