First of all, thank you for the quiz!

Reasons: 1) Double for position and race advantage and for Yellow's empty 6 point. Take for 5-point board and possibility to hit one or two black checkers and then escape while Black is dancing. 2) 3 checkers back vs only one. Bad timing for Black. 3) The 5 point is a long-term investment, especially with the 4 point already made. Black's stiff position is not so threatening: he wouldn't easily hit loose or slot against a 3-point board. 4) Assuming it's for money and stating beforehand that I don't know the backgame theory... Yellow has 5 checkers behind a 5-prime; in addition a weak board. Therefore, it's time to run now with 22/15. If the blot is hit, we gain more timing for the prime. OK, we could slot the back of our prime with D (16/9) but it looks too loose even against a single-point board. 5) Double for positional advantage and only one checker to escape. Take because Yellow's mini-prime is likely to crash soon.
