Thanks for your feedback. A contest is a viable idea. As you probably know there are websites that conduct their own contest, and you can choose from a number of submissions. The downside from using one of these sites is the designers are not likely to know very much about the needs of a backgammon tournament site for such things like draw sheet postings, etc. But we could very well end up using such a site.

We'll find out soon if a number of persons from our community contact us. If so we could conceivably have our own contest as you suggest.
