The only point I could imagine in 5/3 us that it allows us to keep the 6-point after 52. And even here, it is not obvious that piling five checkers on the ace-point is better than clearing the 6. On the other hands 5/3 blots on several other fives. So 7/1 6/4 without any doubt.
