I must say I like these quizzes. Let me take my first stab at them so you can all know which plays are NOT correct.

1. I consider two plays here. Running all the way and splitting+tempo hit. 24/20 13/8 looks too dangerous. I think I'll go with 24/15 because of the stripped points but I like the other play a lot too.

2. I may be missing something but 24/18 looks clear. An exchange of shots favours us.

3. D/P. If white survives the next roll the game will only get worse for brown, not better. You have to significantly improve browns's timing/position to make this a take. I think :)

4. I make the 5-point. Our lone back-man is going to escape easily in the future even if brown covers and makes more points. Also if he doesn't cover we will have another shot at his slot, now with a stronger board. Same thing is true if brown decides to hit our new blot in the outfield.

5. The distribution looks good, and so does the race lead. It is a double. I'm not too sure about the take/pass. Sometimes these positions don't play too well for brown a couple of rolls down the road. Still I think I'll pass. Our only hope is the checker on our opponents 2p. and when he points on us it will be almost over. D/P.
