Avoiding coming under the gun in front of Black's stacks, and unstacking the mid looks right to me

2. 24/18
All is well on White's side, time to try to get the back men out. The small jump probably won't succeed, but in the meantime black's stack cannot be put to use.

3. Double/take
I think black can just eke out a take. He will have some chances at rolling boxes which is enough to put him back in race contention, otherwise he can get fly shots through the open bar point, or even some lucky shots when White fails to clear 16 nicely. True the outfield contact is just as likely to give White the shots, but as she is fav to begin with, she doesn't gain that much from a hit.

4. 10/5 8/5
The 5 point being the 5 point I think it is correct to make it, even if it is being made with the wrong checkers. The stripped mid makes the alternative run 24/16 somewhat interesting, but White is still not effectively ahead in the race. As an added bonus black may not cover his blot, or at least not cleanly.

5. Double/drop
With Black being quite flexible I don't think the straggler is enough to give White a take here.
