How players are actually taking the quizzes and how they should be taking them in my opinion are not one in the same. There is nothing to be gained from being able to look at a problem and say to yourself "Well, since this is a problem posted on the forums than X must not be the answer, let me look for Y." This is terrible.

You should approach every problem as you would OtB and put down the play you would make OtB. What people may not realize when I make these quizzes is that the only QF involved is that I usually select problems I gave some thought to at the time. I don't know when I chose the problem if X or Y or maybe even Z is the answer. I haven't looked at the analysis. I play out an entire session copying positions over to different windows that I found interesting or spent some time thinking about.
