What are you trying to accomplish here?
The key to understanding a position like this is to realize that without an accident followed by a freak sequence of events, you are going to win this game with any reasonable play. You are a huge favorite even after getting hit. Thus your choice in play will only have a tiny effect on your winning chances. Your goal here is therefore to maximize your chances of winning a gammon. There are two strategies for increasing your gammon chances. One strategy is to quickly bring men into your homeboard. For that purpose, I like 7/6 7/5 2/1 best. The second strategy is to hold your prime in order to minimize your opponent's chances of escaping (and running off the gammon). That is best done with 10/9(2) 3/1. As you can see, 10/8(2) accomplishes neither of those goals and is therefore a weak play.
Of the two choices, I have a slight preference for 7/6 7/5 2/1. It has the added advantage of creating some gammon enhancing shot numbers with 31 33, 32 and 51. 33 is quite a disaster actually.
