Hope I'm allowed to answer these BQ/BC questions. In this kind of position in general you want to keep your opponent from making a second anchor. Here, the second anchor would be deeper in your home board than his current anchor and thus more valuable at this point in the game. The way it would play out if he gets that second anchor is shortly after he runs from the 20pt anchor and in most scenarios you're unable to make the 5pt because you don't have enough builders having already borne in the majority of them. Now your opponent has a phantom 20/22pt backgame without the hassle of losing the extra gammons or flexibility that would come from him having to hang on to that 20pt anchor.

It should be clear that hitting 6/3* is a must to keep him from grabbing that second anchor and putting two up with a four point board will certainly skyrocket your gammons. After 6/3* you have to decide if you want to leave it slotted and push the other 3s around the board however or you can switch points completely. At dmp switching points would be clear as it forces your opponent to come in on the high points allowing you to play behind him easier and if you get past him you have a sure victory. For money it depends on a few things, the most notable one is the state of his board. Here he has a solid 4 point board so getting hit if you leave it slotted hurts a little. You also keep 3 builders aimed at the open 6pt if you do switch which is a good thing. Now if he enters with 6X you'll be able to remake the point or pick and pass in most scenarios. (or maybe even hit loose depending)

From experience there are a lot of plays blitzing v. game winning plays where one play wins 2%-3% more and the gammon greedy play wins also 2%-3% more. When that's the case it's clear to make the play that wins more single games. It should be noted also in most of these cases the gammons lost between the two plays are negligible.

Switching points should be clear here, 6/3*(3) and then whatever last trey.
