1) Black has the better board, and it's just going to get stronger. White has squanto for a board and not really much going position-wise. There's the race advantage, but not much else going for white. It's going to be hard to enter without leaving a shot. ND/T

2) The four point is almost as valuable as the five point. Making the 5 doesn't give white anything good to do with the four: leave a double shot with 13/9 or hit loose with 8/4* or bury a checker with 6/2. Nah. So the choice is between bar/21 20/15 and bar/21 13/8. The race is close, so let's escape a runner. bar/21 20/15.

3) Making the 5 prime looks pretty, but it leaves 15 return shots. White is way ahead in the race which favors safe play but white is behind in the match which favors bold play - but priming won't increase gammons. The choice, then is between a nice safe play like 11/5 6/3 and hitting loose. I'll go for the hit due to the match score - 11/2* is the obvious one, but I won't be surprised if some other hitting play noses it out in the rollout.

4) Black's take point here is 17%. I'm pretty sure he has this. White still has a lot of work to do, and I'm not seeing any clear market losers other than 44 and 62 (3/36). ND/T

5) My initial response was that Black has to hit here, but the mutual priming game has viability, and black has better timing. Make the 5 point. 8/5 6/5

6) I'm not sure if this is a take, so ship it. I'll say "take" but I'm not sure. D/T

7) It's a holding game and white has too much timing for black to continue to hold the 18 point - run now while there's still a swiss-cheese blockade instead of crunching the board now and letting white improve his board for next roll when black is almost certain to leave a shot. 18/8
