Which book improved your cube play the most? Is there such a beast in the first place?

Unfortunately - there isn't. Or at least I didn't find it.

Woolsey's Cube Encyclopedia is good, but nothing spectacular, at least for me.
Recently I found out that even in Robertie's 501 there are many positions than can be (either as they are or with only very slight modification) good reference positions.

But most information (and for free!) about cube I found at:

Also what helped me was Profile in XG.
If you add your analyzed matches to your profile, soon you will have good statistics of your play when you press Crtl+Alt+P. You can go to Details tab to see what kind of cube errors you make the most and then try to improve that part of your cube game.

For me, most of my cube errors are missed doubles because of automatically rolling dice and trying to play fast. No book could help me on that - after each move played I should put hands into my pockets and not put them out until I'm sure that I don't want to cube.

I've already written 4 or 5 books in my head. All I need now is someone to offload that and put it in print form. It's too much work and I haven't even taken the first step in that direction. A book devoted entirely to cube play is one of them.

Can we ask that you (when that day finally comes) first start working on the book about doubling?
I think there would be big interest, much bigger than for "just another checker play book".
